The state tree in Iowa is the Oak tree. Our state bird is the gold flinch. The college teams to watch for sports are the Iowa Hawkeyes, who are located in Iowa City. The Iowa State Cyclones located in Ames. The Northern Iowa Panthers who played Michigan St in the sweet sixteen are located in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the Drake Bulldogs located in Des Moines, Iowa. The Iowa Hawkeyes have been very good in football with a win in the Orange Bowl. We don't have any Pro sports team except for a minor league baseball team called the Iowa Cubs.
